Stink on the Drums

Whenever our nephew Stink comes for a visit, he loves to play the drums that are kept in the basement. It is something fun he can do while he is at our house that is completely void of kid toys. As Stink pointed out to me a few weeks ago by saying "Help me, I'm short," he needs to sit on someones lap while he plays. Although he is still a little too small for the drums, at 2 1/2 years old he is a pretty big boy who can do so many things by himself. I like to play the drums with him because it's the only time he'll sit on my lap. He loves to give and get hugs and kisses, but he is usually too busy to sit down. For some reason I get a little annoyed when people bang on my piano, but I think it's awesome when Stink bangs on the drums.

Wanting an early start is a sure sign of musical genuis! :)

I hope Stink outplays Phil collins someday when his arms and legs are longer.

you are probably the fun house that he loves to visit with cool toys like this!

Thanks for visiting my site. And it looks like I'll have to divulge my new hobby soon since someone guessed it; and yet it is very doubtful that I will be continuing much longer! no surprise there :D

Yep. I baby my Element like crazy. It's Kiwi Green. I would have been horrified had those June Bugs permanently affixed to my spotless bumper :D
Glad to hear someone else is the same way!

Aw, that is sweet! I love watching little ones bang it out on drums!

I am the same way about the piano. Can't stand it to hear the banging. Fortunately though, as a music teacher, my ears and head can withstand any banging or clanging of any kind other than that. BUT... bring a crying baby into my classroom and I want to pull my hair out.

Also, thank you for sharing your experience on my last post. I needed to hear from someone on this and I'm glad you were so thorough!

Cheers!
